Morning
Today’s the day we host the Bubbles and Brunch party! Still a bit to do to prepare, like clean the kitchen table. Of course, with it being Sunday, there is no walk. I even got out of bed a bit later than normal, although I didn’t get more sleep.
Checking on my Google Ads, it doesn’t look great, I may have made a mistake with the budgeting, although it would be really easy to change it back. One of the big problems is that my overall budget is so low and I’m fighting really big brands like AirBnB and TripAdvisor.
I went through again and raised all my keywords to have a max CPC of “first page CPC” again. Some of these keywords are now set to over $1 per CPC (a few are even over $3!) The bid strategy is still learning, so hopefully my ad will show a bit more throughout the day instead of all early and then no ad.
We did a whole bunch of prep work for the party. Cleared off the kitchen table we use as our office, laid out food and snacks, and staged the bar. People started arriving right around noon.
Afternoon
The party went off without a hitch. It was a lot of fun to hang out with new people. There was a lot of amazing food. Everyone brought a little something. We actually had a professional chef attending who cooked. There was about 10 people in total and three dogs.
We hung out, drank, swam, talked, and played with puppies. Dusty was there of course, but there was also a miniature pincher named Solo and another dog named Chile. Solo actually went chasing after some goats at one point and ended up down at the beach!
Evening
Finally around seven the party started to die down. Eventually everyone found their way home safe and sounds and we began cleanup. Luckily there really wasn’t much mess, mostly just a few plates to rinse off. Once that was done I was completely exhausted. I dozed off while watching YouTube a few times.
