Back To Work (Monday)
Work
Started out checking the house next door. They’re having power/water problems. After getting an electrician out, turns out a breaker was flipped. I assumed the tenants had checked, but I guess not . . . Then it was on to pay bills again, but still no bills to pay! Alright, so I did my usual Monday walkthrough, stopped by a couple other houses for other things, and yeah.
Streaming
Shorter than average stream today, but a stream nonetheless! I’m losing focus in my Minecraft world and having a hard time figuring out what to work on. I mean, there’s a ton of possibilities, but a lot of them are tedious and not easy or very creative. Don’t worry, not giving up though!
Tuesday
Work
Ugh, plumber who doesn’t understand basic water physics. He’s talking about a weak pump and I’m here just trying to make sure water flows through a pipe. No, don’t cut that, it’s designed that way so the whole pool doesn’t pour out through the pump when it’s off. . . Then I went out to try paying bills again but the system is still down!
Streaming
I’m having a hard time . . . I want to stream, but I also don’t want to stream. I just know something’s going to come up and I’ll have to stop or be interrupted or whatever.
Wednesday
Mid-Week Pools
Due to the nature of the upcoming bookings I worked on three pools today instead of just one. I started with my nemesis. Didn’t do as much as normal, not nearly as many leaves on the bottom. I did scrub the whole thing and add more chemicals (the pool just eats chlorine). Then it was on to the easy pool. First real cleaning in a bit, had a decent amount of sediment, but was an easy clean.
Lastly was the leaky pool. I didn’t do too much more than add water. Problem is, rain started coming down heavy while I was there. I have time to get it into shape on Friday though. I mean, I’ll have to do my nemesis again then as well. Then, of course, there’s the rest of the pools for Friday as well.
Thursday
Work
Got the housekeeper going first thing. Opened up the house, took a minute to skim the pool, then headed on to add more water to the leaky pool. The plumber still insists that the pump is the problem at the old place, but it just can’t be.
Restocking
Finally did some real grocery shopping. I mean, I couldn’t find what I was looking for but I did find other groceries that will serve me well.
Mental Health
I’m just tired. I’m mentally exhausted. I don’t know what it is exactly.
Pool Day (Friday)
Pools
Nothing too out-of-the-ordinary today. I started off with my nemesis, we have an arrival there at some point. Could have been easier if I had done more work in the week, but it’s likely it would have been just as much effort either way. Once I was done there I checked on the old place and then the easy pool. Neither required much attention so it was up the hill to the new pool. I actually spent a good bit of time there because I had non-pool related stuff to take care of.
Finally, it was on to the leaky pool after lunch. It wasn’t too bad, I had already added enough water days previous. Gave it a good vacuum and made sure they were both in balance.

Mental Health
It’s fucking 9am and every little thing is just driving me insane. Notification on my phone? Irritated! Message from employee? Irritated! I have a pile of work to do for month-end and I have to pay employees and oversee everything and then there’s all the interruptions and all the things I want to do, and the things I need to do, and the things I should do but don’t want to. It’s never ending, and it’s always the fucking same. The stress and monotony combined are just oppressive. . .
Accounting
Can’t say I feel much better, even though it’s been many hours since I typed up that last part. I did get all the accounting done though. At least I hope I have, my brain isn’t very functional anymore. I spent nearly all day doing everything. Surprisingly the roommate actually emailed me without me having to ask for the CC charges. Only took her over a year to start doing it without me prodding. . .

Not a whole lot of work today, but I got everything done that I needed.

Much more work today, but by golly I did good! I paid bills and all kinds of stuff.
Streaming
I did take a couple days off streaming recently but I got back into it again today (and yesterday, and the day before, I think). Nothing too special, streams are shorter now and I end them a lot earlier than I was before.

Let’s see, got the employees going today, easy enough. Then, since tomorrow is going to be such a clusterfuck I decided to tackle my nemesis a day early. It wasn’t looking so good when I made a quick stop there and that means it’ll look even worse tomorrow if I don’t do something now. In the end it wasn’t too bad. I gave it a full vacuum and dosed it with some serious chlorine.

It really wasn’t too bad today. Most of the pools didn’t need a ton of work.
Work
With the intern on vacation, it’s up to me to prepare for today’s arrival. Of course, that means the provisioning delivery scheduled to come on the ferry at 11a didn’t make it. So now I wait and hope they put it on the next one this afternoon.
Saturday
Work
Fucking 7am! Damned person messages me at 7am to talk about sending some robes over on the ferry. Robes they accidentally stole from the house they were staying in last weekend. Then later, a guy messages me about getting paid, so I tells him I can meet him and be there in just five minutes. His response, “Ok”. Thirty minutes later, he arrives. . . Man, I’m really not in the mood for the usual Saturday accounting . . .
Restocking
Not sure if it has been a shit week for the stores stocking groceries or if everyone just bought everything earlier in the week. The stores didn’t have nearly as much stuff that I wanted. I mean, I got the essentials, I think. But man, these stores aren’t looking so good.

I actually was able to motivate myself enough to do some work around the house on my day off! Not a ton, but some extra vacuuming and such. It’s a start. I’m still not feeling motivated to keep up with this blog though so I’m going to do a third week. . .
Streaming
Even though I haven’t mentioned it every day I’ve streamed, the streams keep coming (mostly) daily. I have decided Fridays won’t be stream days, mostly because I’m always dead tired after pools.

Not too bad today. Some of the usual running around on top of other things. I got wireless range extenders installed at one of the houses. Checked up on other houses. Not a whole lot to report.
Tuesday
Work
Really light day today. At least on paper. . . In reality it wasn’t too bad. I started with a trip to the store. Picked up a bunch of water for our quarantined guests. After dropping that off I headed out to the house on the hill to check water. Still no service, and I was unable to get ahold of the water department. I did talk to someone about fixing leaky windows.

Doing all the things I can do as soon as I can do them! Getting shit done is good. . . Luckily, there’s not a whole lot of shit to do, so it makes it easy. Got the tax stuff turned in and paid. Even helped out our guests a bit.

Pools Pt. 1
Decided to do pools a day early again. No particular reason other than I had to do one house today. So I decided to do them all, at least a bit. I’m putting two off for tomorrow, the main part of the service. One will probably just be a simple check, while the other is my nemesis, which means a FULL cleaning.
Friday
Pools Pt. 2
Oh, what a pools. Even though I only technically worked on one pool I was busy all day long with it, sorta. I had to deal with a few things in the middle, and stuff, so yeah! Nah, I worked on me nemesis, long, thorough cleaning and such. Had to leave the hose filling it for a while, still wasn’t enough. During that service, I checked next door again. Then headed up to the house on the hill about a couple things, as well as checking on the pool.
Found a plumbing problem up there, but I ended up being able to fix is myself. Added a bit of water to the pool up there, but that also wasn’t enough. Owner is supposedly coming Monday, but we’ll see if it actually happens. Worked on my nemesis some more. Also had to unlock the house in the evening for someone to look around. Long day. . .

Whew, what a day. Lots of work, again. I started by adding more water to my nemesis and backwashing the filter. Hit up the house on the hill again too. Just doing another final-ish walkthrough before the owner might arrive. Then I spent a good couple hours doing two weeks (instead of just one, because I didn’t last weekend) worth off accounting.

Really not a lot to talk about. I mostly relaxed. I did stream, I have been streaming. Just nothing too notable. Trying new things, playing new games. Not a lot of viewership, but that’s why I’m trying different things.
