Family
My day started normally, a slow morning with coffee and leftover banananana pudding for breakfast. . . My brother and his family leaves today to go home. After prepping for the day I headed to see them for a little while. The roommate was going to head out to buy a new oven that’s on sale because of Black Friday for one of our villas.
Pool Service
Since it’s Friday, that means pool service again. This time with less pools! The first pool was the one where my brother was staying, which allowed me to see them before they left and wish them safe travels. I had already scrubbed and dredged the pool by the time my mentor arrived. I would have done more if all the needed equipment was there.
After that we headed on to another villa we manage. Same sort of stuff, but we did take apart a filter to clean and ran into some issues due to a loose O ring. Once we got that taken care of we were on our way to the next house. Service at the last two went as expected. Just scrubbing, dredging, vacuuming and a quick balance.
I did take a few more notes about the stuff I wasn’t versed enough in. Mostly the notes are dealing with the pumps and water flow. I feel a lot more comfortable with it all now. Overall, it was a quick day and I was back home by lunch. The leftover turkey was just as delicious as it was last night.
The Rest of the Story
After eating, it was time to do dishes. We tried to use the dishwasher yesterday for the Thanksgiving mess but there was a horrid leak. Because it was so late when everyone left, we put off doing anything about the dishes.
I figured I’d get started on them and got about half of them clean before the dish drainer was full. I unloaded the rest to let soak until the last batch was dry and put away. In this climate I didn’t have to wait too long.
Fuck Yeah!
I decided to take some time to pull apart the MacBook now that I have the special pentalobe screwdrivers my brother brought me. After doing a little cleaning on the inside I popped the cover back on and fired it up. Everything’s working like a charm! I’m not really sure if it was something I did or just letting it sit powered off for a while. I’m just so happy to have my MacBook working. . . Now I gotta get used to the key placement again.
