Morning
This morning’s walk was uneventful. Just the usual smattering of wildlife, no babies in need of rescue. My shower was lukewarm again today, definitely not as much heat as the past couple days, but still a welcome change.
Work
In Google Analytics, it looks like the change I made yesterday has taken root. The bots I’ve filtered have stopped getting recorded. Every single day the same number of hits from bots that bounce. Now, none. It’s nice to have real(er) statistics I can look at. I think there may be another (or a couple) bot host, but much smaller. For now I’m just leaving it as it is. Bounce rate is down a lot, still not low enough for my liking though.
Google Ads has 6 more keywords it thinks I should use. Well, it did until I clicked on it. . . Meh, I wanted more keywords. Oh look, notification about 6 new recommended keywords is back, oops, never mind! Hey, the keywords finally showed up! I think I’ll add them, select all, apply.
Seems my newest ad group (that I put together for some A/B testing) isn’t being shown nearly as much as the other group. I think the idea of just sending them to the list of available rentals isn’t a good one. The bounce rate on the home page is so much better than the other group. Time to kill the rental landing ad group.
No movement on Facebook this morning, insights don’t have a lot to show, but it is Saturday (it’s so easy to lose track of what day it is down here) so not much to do on the social media front. Instagram is still sitting at just over 350 followers. Strangely, we got a new follower on Twitter! Seems it is another property manager, renting a villa in Bali.
The maids are here again today to clean, I don’t really like the way they “organized” my room last time, hopefully this time it will be different. We made a quick run to the store for cleaning supplies and some groceries.
Afternoon
Suddenly the sky darkened and a cool breeze kicked up. The breeze is refreshing because it’s been so hot all week. It feels like rain is coming. Then there was thunder in the distance. Can’t see any yet though. And just as quickly as it started, it’s over. The sun is out and it’s still as dry as ever.

I was kicked out of the kitchen by the maids, they needed us out of the way to clean there, so I retired to my room for a while and played more Sleeping Dogs. I started with some cop missions, and it felt like they were exactly the same as the last batch I did, even down to the locations. Maybe it’s the way they work, maybe it was deja vu, or maybe my previous work didn’t save. I must say the HKPD motorcycle is pretty awesome, great speed and handling.
After that I won another race, getting closer to taking down the really bad guy. After that I got to play chauffeur for Winston’s bride-to-be Peggy. First we picked up some flowers and she tried on her dress. After that though, the wedding cake got hijacked, so I had to chase those fools down and recover it. Then the woman had me sneak into a temple, pretend to be a monk and steal her some flowers!
The wedding was really looking like it was gonna be a sweet ordeal, until some fools crashed it! It was a blood bath, I don’t think Winston or Peggy made it out alive. I was barely able to escape with my life while trying to get Uncle Po to the hospital.

As my game time wound down, it actually started to rain. I must admit I didn’t expect it to happen at all. It was a hard and sudden downpour that did not last long. Once the girls were done, I ran them by the grocery store then drove them across the island to home. It rained a bit on the way there. The trip was interesting, my first time driving up and down the mountain.
Evening
I played around in a creative world in Minecraft to try to figure out how I could create a mob grinder. It seems mob spawning mechanics are totally different in Bedrock Edition. I found this, but my experience doesn’t quite match, I will trust it as the authority though. In my testing mobs would spawn high in the sky, so that’s something. I may just end up digging an enormous area underground to spawn mobs though.
Pretty sure I have a witch hut somewhere I think. I could always build a witch spawner. Unfortunately, they don’t drop bones or bone meal. I really need skeletons. I could always build my mob spawner under the witch hut. Kill two birds with one stone. I guess really I should just cave more, see if I can find a skeleton spawner.

As the sun set I retired to my room for Killjoys and YouTube. I really don’t like Hullen John, I hope they cure him soon. Starting to wonder what’s going to come from the Pip spider.
Thank good Johnny is back! Now what about that baby? Oh boy, I hate having to wait between episodes!
