Pool Service
Whew, I’m exhausted after spending all morning working on pools. Just got done with my last one. Taking a quick break to write about it all before heading off to do more work. Plus I need to hydrate a bit.
The first wasn’t bad, it never really is. Just a quick scrub, vacuum, and balance. Levels in that pool tend to be good, the equipment is in good shape, never too much debris in the pool.
The second had some issues. The water level got too low so had air in the lines. Took me a bit but I was able to add enough water and get the flow corrected. Otherwise it wasn’t a big deal to clean and balance it.
Third pool was fine, it just takes a bit of time. I’m not happy with their hose, and it always has a ton of stuff in the pool from the landscaping. Plus some of their equipment is broken so I have to manually chlorinate the pool. Really should see about getting it fixed.
Then comes our pool. Still not on good shape. Took forever to vacuum the pool. And every time I vacuum, the filter keeps spitting stuff back into the pool. The chlorinator isn’t working right, but I don’t have the tool to check it out. Still looking pretty green, I may just need to shock it. I may need to pull the filter apart and clean it. The pump room is a mess. Need I go on?
Some Assembly Required
After a bit of rest, my next stop was the amazing house to put together a couple of benches. Those things took us an extra week to get because the paperwork was messed up. The work wasn’t very hard, just 8 bolts to screw in per bench. Took a while though, unboxing and assembling. Nearly an hour total for just two!
Television
Just wanted to talk a bit about some television stuff. Previously, I had kinda done a thing with some shows. A kinda recap or commentary or something. Not gonna do that again, but I feel like I need to address the television I watch.
Elseworlds
First off, this year’s DC crossover event was amazing. I absolutely loved each episode and am really looking forward to next year. It would have been nice if they incorporated Legends into the crossover. I wonder if we’ll ever get a crossover with Black Lightning. . .
Nightflyers
This show has just finished airing and it is amazing. If you like sci-fi, you really should check it out. Word of warning though, it can be a bit gory. In case you’re interested in checking out the trailer, here it is. . .
Travelers
So, Travelers is back for season 3 on Netflix. I have yet to watch it but I absolutely loved the first two seasons. I actually didn’t think there was going to be another season, so I’m really happy.
Fuller House
And it wouldn’t be the holiday season without the Tanners. Again, this is available on Netflix and I haven’t gotten a chance to see it yet either (stupid island internet). But I look forward to the hijinks.
Minecraft
I’ve continued tearing down the guardian temple. It’s come to the point where I want to repair my pick, so I’ve spent some time in the skeleton grinder. I really wish you could hold more things in the offhand. Would be so much better if I could put a tool there to repair.
Once I got a couple shulker boxes full of sugarcane I went off to trade villagers for experience and emeralds. I really do need to do some more work on my villagers. I know I have at least one that I want to keep that needs to be moved to the villager hall.
