Morning
I couldn’t help but start the day too early. I woke around 4am and just tossed and turned trying to get back to sleep, occasionally downing some water. My head hurt from drinking so much last night. Eventually, I rolled out of bed but there was no walk, I just wasn’t feeling up to the task.
I did complete my first real blog post too! I mean, yeah I have that introductory post, but I think I’m going to keep with the style of this post. I’m hoping to add one everyday, but I really don’t know if my life is interesting enough.
I also created a new page, about my girlfriend Cherryl. So far there isn’t a whole lot on there, but in time I’ll work on filling it out more. In short, we’re in a long-distance relationship, she’s from the Philippines, we’ve been together for over a year, and have yet to actually meet in person.
While preparing my morning coffee, I managed to rescue a tiny lizard from the sink. He wasn’t as skittish as most of the local reptiles. He even let me give him a couple pets before taking off into the bushes.
After a nice breakfast of scrambled eggs and turkey bacon, I had to make a run to Buck’s for some groceries. Once I was back, I spent the rest of the morning working on the company site. The test site, where I’m staging the new design before rolling it out, is looking better. I can’t quite get it working the way I want, though. It seems I may have to buy the “pro” version of the theme I’m using to get it perfect.
I did tweak this site a bit too. I didn’t realize the home page looked so bad! The way the original design was, it just wasn’t displaying properly on desktop or mobile. I also modified the instagram feed on the home page so it only shows a few of the newest posts. I also re-arranged the gallery page so the newest photo is on the left.
Afternoon
I continued downing water as much as I could, my headache was getting a little better, but just would not go away. For lunch, I threw together a quick ham and salami sandwich with the last of my lunch meat. I guess I should have bought more while I was at the store earlier.
Afterwards I took a few pictures of my car for the post I’m working on about it. I can’t wait to share all about it. Here’s a little teaser !
While looking at Twitter, I found out Telltale games is releasing another The Walking Dead game! Looking further into it, I found they actually released one a couple years ago that I missed. I really loved that series, but kinda gave up on the show which is likely the reason. I’ve now added both to my wishlist on steam.
Spent a bit of time playing Sleep Dogs again today. The game is fun, but I’m still getting used to the controls. I met Amanda, pretty sure she’s the “love interest” in the game. I picked up a couple of jade statues, worked my first case (still haven’t finished it yet), and did some favors for the locals.
The case was is a simple drug bust. I had to beat up some gangsters, hack a camera, and then we busted the dealer! Pretty sure there’s some more I need to do, but I moved on to helping the locals.
The people of Hong Kong are really needy! First person I went to help was a scam. . . A woman tried to keep me occupied while her boyfriend stole my wallet. Joke’s on him though, beat his ass down and threw him off an overpass!
After that I had to go take some photos for a local t-shirt vendor. I had a really hard time figuring exactly where the sunset was for the second photo. Eventually I figured out the sun sets in the south there?
Finally, I pulled up to a guy asking for an assist, he needed a ride. Of course, he didn’t need my help until AFTER he punches a cop! Outran those suckers, no problem. Man shoulda given me a heads up first.
Evening
Finally, around dinner time, my headache subsided. I don’t think I was drinking enough water. Dinner was the frozen pizza I bought earlier, DiGiorno three meat. Dinner was accompanied by a Dark ‘n’ Stormy – a mix of rum and ginger beer garnished with lime.
Not long after dinner I retired to my room to watch some overdue TV and YouTube. Killjoys was as amazing as ever. It is by far one of the best shows currently airing. Afterwards I watched a few YouTube videos by Vintagebeef and Etho.
