Road Word
So, today is the day they’re pouring concrete at the end of our street. That means no traffic can pass until it’s dry. Because of that, we have my truck parked in one of our nearby villas. We can drive one car up the hill, leave it there, then walk to the truck and drive around as needed. And of course we have to leave today.
I’ve already had to walk a couple of crash pads to the truck to deliver to one of our villas. They had only just started the pour when I was passing through, not too much trouble. But the roommate will have to leave today to go pick up her boyfriend. I’m sure it’s going to be fun for them to get his luggage past the fresh concrete.
WordPress 5.0
So the update to WordPress 5.0 appears to have solved a small problem I was having with a plugin! I mentioned before that when I was posting a new blog, the Social Media Auto Publish plugin was posting twice. Now there’s only a single post going out (at least the one time I’ve posted so far). This is great, no more annoyance in having to delete a duplicate tweet.
About Me
With the update to WordPress 5.0 I tried my hand at adjusting my About Me page. I originally created it using classic editor because Gutenberg did weird things with inline images. I spent at least a good 30 minutes trying to get it to play right, but no matter what I did I couldn’t just have a simple inline image without extra padding. If you have any suggestions on how to do this, let me know.
Minecraft
With the roommate away, I decided to play a bit of Minecraft. I redid the chest towers in the skeleton grinder so I can actually see the item elevators. I’ve also removed half of the second floor that I had made because I just didn’t like the design at all. Instead I’ll be replacing it with specialized platforms eventually.
I finally got diamond pants. Enchanted them with unbreaking 3, mending, and protection 4. I’ve also done a little more work on what will be the witch farm. Not a whole lot done yet there though. Just looked at a couple videos on how to build a farm and laid out the three spawning levels as required.
Oh yeah, I cleared out an ocean monument. Turns out that even with mining fatigue you can mine blocks. This is a good thing because this monument was seriously messed up. The door opened to a dead-end room. That was it, I had to break in. Then the last elder guardian (the one at the top) was in a room that didn’t connect to the rest of the temple either.
I did pillar gravel to denote the corners of the temple. I will slowly work on turning it into a guardian farm. The hardest part is going to be clearing all the water. I just don’t have a ton of gravel/sand in that world. I guess it needs to be encased in something, oh maybe I can use that as excuse to build something based around the new water content! Some kind of aquarium thing, maybe?
I think I’m about ready for the dragon fight now too. Just have to make my way back to the end portal and do it. I’m sure it’s not all that hard, although it isn’t as easy as it used to be. Then I can get pretty purple blocks and fly! Yeah, I think I really need to go to the end.
Featured Image
Today’s featured image is my DSLR and the new header image for my gallery. I realized that I never added a featured image to my gallery, so I’m going to kill two birds with one stone! The camera was free, earned through my previous job for being so awesome.
