Prep Time5 minsCook Time30 minsTotal Time35 mins
Main Ingredients
 4 cups Tomatoes
 1 Medium Yellow Onion
 4 Garlic Cloves
 2 cups Chicken Broth
Seasonings
 Basil
 Salt
 Pepper
 Sugar
 Olive Oil
 Balsamic (or Red Wine) Vinegar
Optional
 1 tbsp Flour
1

Chop up tomatoes, onions, and garlic.

2

Throw all the main ingredients in a pot, cover, and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3

Remove from heat. Let cool sufficiently (20-30 minutes) so you can transfer to a blender (or food processor or whatever you'd like) and reduce to a liquid. You may want to blend a portion at a time and not try doing it all at once.

4

Strain back into a pot and continue simmering uncovered while adding small amounts of Seasonings.
Taste frequently until it reaches desired flavor, then serve.

Optional
5

If you prefer a thicker soup, you can add 1 tablespoon of flour to a quarter cup of water and mix thoroughly. Add that to the soup while it simmers.
