What Did I Accomplish This Week?
Week? Weeks . . . I’ve continued to survive. I also have now watched the entirety of Star Wars.
Monday
Work
Ugh, so stupid. Let’s start with the new tenants. They’re already a pain in my ass. The place is as-is. It has barely been repaired since Irma. One of them lived there previously. I understand the breaker, working on fixing it. But of course the electrician is being problematic. But they’re complaining about windows. Like, yeah, the windows are fucked up.
Then there’s the house on the hill. Over the weekend it literally flushed thousands of gallons of water down the toilet. The fucking toilet ran all weekend and emptied the cistern. Gone, all of it. I’m really starting to hate how much of a pain in the ass everything here is.
Restocking
Went grocery shopping again this morning. I think the change in curfew has made that easier at least. Of course, I still couldn’t find everything on my list. No sugar! How does a grocery store not have any sugar?!? I’m just going to have to keep going to each store regularly in the hopes of someday getting everything on my list.
Tuesday
Work
Electrician still hasn’t been back in touch about that breaker replacement. The tenants also want some things fixed. I took care of what I could, sent my handyman to work on some other things. This evening a landscaper showed up to get paid. He told me on Saturday and Sunday while he was at the house on the hill he saw water coming out of the overflow. It’s Tuesday! Why the fuck didn’t he tell me on Saturday or Sunday and save me such a pain in the ass?!?!?
Wednesday
Work
So the electrician showed up, finally. Of course, no one told me until after he was gone for the day. Turns out the issue is not a simple breaker but instead problems with the wiring. Ugh, he’s gonna have to come back this weekend to work more on it.
Thursday
Work
Had to go clear something at the port authority. Was actually just as easy as before the pandemic. Only difference was having to wear a mask and wash my hands before going in. Otherwise they were just as slow as always. It was really surprising to see the port parking lot so empty though.
Pool Day (Friday)
Curfew
Last night the minister of health did a live briefing thing. I really hate listening to that guy talk, so I ignored it. Turns out there’s been an eighth detected case of the virus. The infected has been in quarantine though, so spread is unlikely.
Pools
What a disaster! All the pools need water because it’s been so dry. Ended up running water for over three hours in three different pools. Two were starting to turn green because of the low water. Lots of shock and chlorine! Scrub scrub scrub. . . None of them ended great, but they’re on their way to recovering.
Saturday
Mental Health
My mood has taken a hit lately. Just haven’t really felt like doing anything. I have all these movies to watch and games to play but none of it interests me. Not sure what I can do at the moment to deal with it. For now I’m just pushing through. I’m sure soon enough something’s gonna give and I’ll be in a better way.

Again with this. I just can’t get myself to do anything. I have all kinds of foodstuffs that I can’t even prepare because I don’t feel like cooking. It’s a vicious cycle though. I end up eating junk food which in turn affects my mentality even more. Don’t worry about me though, I’ll be okay.

Really didn’t feel like posting this yet. I mean, does anyone read this anyway? Just going to squeeze two weeks together in the post. Still not doing great, just in a funk really. Can’t bring myself to go shopping or do more than the bare minimum.

I did go out and do what little work I needed to. Stopped by a few houses to check on them. All was in order
Tuesday
Gardening
So a while back I cut my tomato plant where the stem was damaged and forced it deeper into the soil. The hope was that it would root itself and grow again. It looks like it’s working. The plant no longer seems limp and may be on the way to recovering. What this will do to the crop I can’t say.
Curfew
This place is so ridiculous. The government did another “Covid-9 Update” on FaceBook Live. The whole damned thing was them countering points made by “the opposition” and it was so stupid. They’re like fucking high schoolers. “Oh no, Becky said we should do this! Let’s go hold a school assembly to explain why she’s wrong.”
Wednesday
Restocking
I went grocery shopping again today. Wasn’t able to get much on my list, but what I did get was in large quantities. I was finally able to find chicken breasts! I ended up buying a huge bag of frozen breasts, just because it’s hard to get. Even so, it was still much more expensive than it would have been back in the states.
Work
Had to get a water delivery today to the house on the hill. This was the most annoying water delivery I’ve done yet. The hose they were using had a leak in it, so I had to lay on the floor the whole time holding it to keep it from spraying everywhere. Wouldn’t have been too bad if it didn’t take like half an hour to do. And it was so hot! Once the delivery was done I had to prime the pump to get it running. That part wasn’t too bad.
Thursday
Star Wars
So I decided to watch The Mandalorian. That was a pretty good show. So now I’m going to go ahead and watch the new stuff. I previously watched Rogue One but fell asleep during it. I think I’ll start with the final 3, then go back and watch that as well as Solo.
Work
Conference call tonight with my brother and the roommate. It was the usual stuff, talking about the business. Nothing really came of it, as always. It’s gotta happen, I understand that, but it’s just annoying.
Pool Day (Friday)
Pools
Another Friday, another pool day. I took my time on the pools today, putting in a bit of extra work. I gave a couple of the pools an seriously thorough cleaning, vacuum, scrub, the works. One of those was my nemesis. I think I really need to do that every week though. Maybe I shouldn’t slack so much . . .
Saturday/Sunday
Star Wars
So I basically spent the whole weekend watching Star Wars. I rewatched Rogue One. Watched Solo. Then went to watch the three newest movies. Once that was done I went back and rewatched episodes one through three. All that’s left now is to go back and watch the original movies for the millionth time.
