A new day is upon me. Now, come join me on my adventure! Some might say I’m suffering a mid-life crisis, and they may be right.
I’ve spent most of the day getting this site setup and worthy of what it was meant to be. Plugging away with the waves breaking outside. I fought long and hard with WordPress to get the home page looking just the way I wanted, and now I think I’ve won (with a little help of selective plugin use).
Of course, I started my day off like any other. I woke at 6am and went for my morning walk; a three mile round-trip down to Copper Mine Point. After showering I was greeted by the neighbor’s dog, Dusty. She has a tendency to hang out here for some reason.
I spent time going over my analytics for the company website and looking at the recent Google Ads performance while brainstorming ideas of how to promote and grow the business.
Lately my mind has been going back and forth about making videos again. I really want to, but I just can’t find my motivation. As a result, I decided to compromise and begin working on a new creative project. I’ve been working so much lately with WordPress, so I decided I’d bring this site back to life with a blog of my own.
I ordered an SSL certificate for the site, installed WordPress, then went about getting the site just right. I’ve actually been fighting with this for hours now. Installing and removing plugins that I’d hope would allow me to accomplish what I wanted.
During the work, I had to take a few breaks. Went to the grocery store, visited a nearby villa we’re working on, and transported one of our housekeepers from Christiana Villa to her sister’s house.
Today is also my son’s 20th birthday! He’s still back in Georgia. Wished him a happy birthday and checked up on him. He says he’s doing okay, but he really doesn’t talk to me much. As a present, I sent him MachiaVillain on Steam, it’s fun little game.
Of course, the local wildlife had to make an appearance. I shooed goats away from the pool multiple times. I even rescued a tiny lizard from inside the house. Speaking of wildlife, I even added another goat to my Instagram.
And now, here I sit, finishing this post to really make this blog mine. It’s almost rum o’clock, and I’m hoping tonight I can get a shot of the beautiful clouds at sunset.
