Visitor
Supposedly we’ll be having a guest over today. She has a habit of not showing up though, so we’ll have to wait and see if she actually comes by. It does seem like there isn’t much on the schedule for today though, so even if she doesn’t visit it’ll be like a day off, almost.
No Dice
And as was expected, the visitor never showed. No call either. No big deal, really. Just meant I didn’t have to worry about staying up too late.
Minecraft
So, back to Minecraft, yay! I’ve continued working on my skeleton grinder. Both ends are done now, I just need to finish the middle part. Of course, that’s the harder part. Right now I have skeletons falling to the kill pit, their drops are collected and sent down a stream of water. At the end I have two towers for drops, one for bones, one for arrows.
The missing middle part is the sorter. I know what I need to do, it’s just hard to put it in place the way I set everything up. Should just require two simple hopper sorters and two separate automatic droppers. Sounds easy, doesn’t it?
And Done
Finished the automatic sorting system. It isn’t quite as nice as something Etho might make, but it works well enough for me. The only real issue I have with the setup is I can’t kill all the gathered skeletons with a single potion. Next step is going to be to clean the place up. Add a few levels for things like enchanting, cow breeding, and sugarcane.
Guests
We got a message from one of our guests. They wanted to use the grill but said the gas canisters supplied didn’t fit the grill. I borrowed a tank from another, empty, villa and brought it over to them. Looking at it, there really didn’t seem to be a way to hook up the canisters the owners provided. I hooked up the borrowed tank and the grill fired up just fine.
Turns out they were right, and they were wrong. Once I got home I looked into the grill more, a Q series Weber. Seems that if you remove the hose, the little portable propane tank just screws right into the grill. Would never have guessed by looking at the grill though.
Stupid Driver
Then, on my way home, some other driver clipped my passenger mirror with theirs! I was as close as I could get to the side of the road and she just didn’t bother getting over any farther. Nothing really could have been done differently on my part.
Lucky for her the mirror just went back together with no issues. Unluckily for me, the mirror shattered on my car. The rest of the housing is just fine though. Shouldn’t be too hard to get ahold of a replacement mirror.
Free Dinner
One perk of being property managers for vacation rentals is we get to take home things people leave at the villas. Tonight’s dinner was almost completely provided by previous guests. Tenderloin steaks and potatoes. Delicious. Even the cheese and butter we used was left over from a previous guest. The only thing that we had to provide was the seasoning. . . .

The sky was getting darker as night began and the clouds were gathering. I liked how the color of the setting sun was caught in such a large area.
