Today I added a pause menu to my Unity game as well as a main menu. Part of that implemented a quick and easy way to switch the scene.
Yeah, I’m finally back and developing again. I sat down to play with Unity this morning and by the afternoon I had a very crude space game.
Game development has to start somewhere, so I got underway! A few sprites, a tilemap, and my first movement control script!
Even with holiday I’m still working it seems. No rest for the weary. Who am I kidding, there’s lots of time for rest too.
So much accounting this week, and I’m still not fully caught up. It’s getting so much closer though I can almost taste it.
Time for a much more in-depth tutorial to help educate myself on the basics of 2D game development in Unity. From initial setup to building!
Another long week ending with some solitude now that the roommate has left for a while. My game development kinda stalled though.
It’s time to start planning out a real game. It’s important to get an idea of what you want to do before you start, especially when you’re learning.
Time to learn Unity. First up is the super-simple 2D Game Kit lessons. It is a really good starting point for beginners. What’s next?
